Survey of Palestine or Topographical Department of Palestine (Hebrew, המרכז למיפוי ארץ ישראל) was the government office responsible for surveying and mapping Palestine during the British Mandate of the eponymous territory. After 1948 it became the Topographical Department of Israel.

In early 1948, acting Directors General were appointed for each of the future Arab State and Jewish State, under the terms of the United Nations Plan for the partition of Palestine; the already existing archives and maps were to be shared. [3] However, during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, British trucks that were to deliver the Arab State’s share were diverted to Tel Aviv.[4] Today, the historical maps are stored at the Israel Topographical Department, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Israel Ministry of Defense.[4] The maps produced by the department have been used by the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Israel Ministry of Defense.[4] The maps produced by the department have been used by the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

The maps produced by the department have been widely used by researchers to “map Palestinian refugees”, documenting the 1948 Palestinian Exodus,[5] most notably Salman Abu Sitta’s Atlas of Palestine and Walid Khalidi’s All That Remains.[5][6] In 2019 the maps were used as the basis for the Palestine Open Maps project, supported by Bassel Khartabil Free Culture Fellowship.[7]

Conclusions Hospital admissions for OA in Chile increased between 2012 and 2018, preferentially in cases of OA in the hip and knee joints in the group of elderly women in the central part of the country.

[2] The etiology of OA is not fully understood,[2] although a number of factors are known to be involved in the pathogenesis, both biomechanical (overload or physical exertion) and the release of proinflammatory mediators (interleukin 1 [IL-1]; tumor necrosis factor alpha [TNF-α]) and intra-articular protease activity (protein degrading enzymes). [3] All these factors induce an inflammatory state of articular cartilage, which, manifested chronically, becomes the fundamental component of the pathophysiology of OA.[2] For the analysis, an assay was fabricated to determine the presence of a protein degrading enzyme in the articular cartilage.

For the analysis, a secondary database was fabricated to facilitate calculations of rates and percentages in Microsoft Excel software (Microsoft Corp., Redmond, WA, USA). Additionally, graphs have been made in GraphPad Prism (GraphPad Software, Inc., San Diego, CA, USA), version 8, and Infogram (Prezi, San Francisco, CA, USA) programs.
