Would you like to build virtual worlds and interactive simulations? Nowadays there is an enormous amount of content of a digital nature, i.e. created by computer. Among them, we can find examples such as animated films and series (2D and 3D); special effects in films and series with real actors; video games and 3D simulation environments, virtual and augmented reality experiences, applications for cell phones and web pages, advertising spots and motion graphics, etc.
In order to define the ideal profile of new students wishing to access this degree, we take into account the final educational objectives that we intend to achieve in three aspects:
Students. They must have good previous knowledge in science subjects, with an interest in art, capacity for observation and analysis and intellectual, social and scientific concerns. Attitudinally, they must be willing to make an effort, both individually and as part of a team. For this reason, in the selection process we pay special attention to the candidate’s motivation and abilities in relation to the above-mentioned concerns. Other attitudes such as initiative, responsibility and the ability to work and solve problems in a team are also important.

My name is Jose Alberto Benítez Andrades, I am a Computer Engineer from the University of León (June 2006 – June 2010) and PhD in Production and Computer Engineering from the University of León (2013 – 2017).
I was Senior Editor for the company Weblogs S.L. , writing articles for their blog Vitónica and for different commercial spaces of Xataka, Genbeta and other websites of the group during the period from February 2014 to September 2016.
I started as an Associate Professor at the University of León in the academic year 2013/2014 in the Department of Mechanical, Computer and Aerospace Engineering, teaching different subjects in the degrees taught at the School of Engineering of the University of León.
In November 2018 I accessed an Assistant position in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering and Automation. In January 2020 I got a position as Assistant Professor Doctor in the same department.
I developed the work of commercial, looking for customers over the internet, and the function of server administrator, installing game servers and maintaining them remotely with Windows 2003 and Gentoo Linux.
