What is e-learning? The e-learning platform, virtual campus or Learning Management System (LMS) is a digital learning space aimed at facilitating the distance learning experience for institutions, with online services that provide tools and resources to teachers and students.

These educational games enhance students’ collaboration and interaction skills with their environment, increase their interest in the learning process and improve their personal and creative development.

Herramientas de gamificación educativa

A partir del Proyecto CAPPLE (financiado por el Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad de España), en este artículo se identifican las estrategias y herramientas de red utilizadas por 2054 estudiantes universitarios españoles de último curso para procesar críticamente la información y gestionar su proceso de aprendizaje. A partir de un diseño de investigación no experimental de tipo exploratorio, se utilizó un cuestionario validado mediante un triple procedimiento (juicio de expertos, entrevistas cognitivas y estudio piloto) para recoger datos de 75 universidades españolas. Los resultados muestran que los futuros profesionales son conscientes de la necesidad de contrastar y aplicar un pensamiento crítico sobre la información que reciben; otorgan credibilidad a la información asociada a su entorno formativo; cuestionan lo recibido desde el exterior y valoran el uso de herramientas de aprendizaje en función de la valoración académica que esperan tener. Entre las cuestiones pendientes que abre este trabajo está la profundización teórica y práctica de la capacidad predictiva de los Entornos Personales de Aprendizaje (EPA): a) como herramienta de evaluación y aprendizaje en futuras acciones de desempeño laboral; b) cómo mejora este desempeño tras una sólida formación en el procesamiento crítico de la información desplegada a lo largo de los estudios de grado.

High schools with the best college prep records for their students have many advanced classes. They make opportunities available to everyone. In fact, successful high schools encourage all kids to take these classes. Some schools enroll all of their students in an advanced class.

Education is a process that should be responsible for transmitting information and developing people’s capacity for analysis, ingenuity and critical thinking through the inheritance of knowledge that serves as a basis for the birth of new theories, processes, systems and others, thus leading to new knowledge.

The best way to ensure the assimilation of knowledge is to go beyond the theoretical learning process and project students into the respective environments they will face as professionals, while also developing new elements, solutions and other tools that will serve both to improve that sector and function as the basis for the next line of students in training.

Focusing only on theories in the modern world where empirical learning has become the king, makes it unbelievable and out of context as it may seem, that a professional graduated with honors from a higher education institute is below the level of many autonomous professionals who have acquired their knowledge and tools on their own. For this reason it is of great relevance that the educational system assimilates this type of tools in the right way.
