The purpose of the mentor is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experience in the discipline, providing the mentee with resources that promote autonomous learning and personal autonomy. In addition, mentees’ strengths, skills and positive personal characteristics are identified and developed in order to enhance their employability and their personal and professional growth.
