Top Universities in England
By 1905 the two institutions were already two very active presences in the region, with the Municipal College of Technology (the forerunner of the later UMIST) forming the Faculty of Technology of the Victoria University of Manchester while continuing in parallel as a technical university with advanced courses of study at the college. Although UMIST achieved independent status in 1955, the two institutions continued to collaborate.
In 2004 the Victoria University of Manchester (established in 1880) and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (established in 1824) were officially combined into one institution.
The main site of the university contains most of its facilities and is often referred to simply as the campus. Despite this, Manchester is not a university campus as the term is commonly understood. It is centrally located and the buildings on the main site are integrated into the fabric of Manchester, with non-university buildings and main thoroughfares in between.

If you wish to apply for a new U.S. passport or renew your current one, you may submit your application for processing at any of the Passport Services Acceptance Centers listed below. You can filter by the name of your city, your state or even your zip code to find the most convenient office:
If you want to get your passport in person at one of these locations, please note that some of these sites have limited service hours and may require an appointment, so it is advisable to contact your nearest U.S. Passport Office prior to your visit.
Also, keep in mind that a Passport Acceptance Agent will need to personally verify your application, so contacting the office in advance will help ensure that a representative will be available to you.
The most common locations for passport services are U.S. Post Offices (USPS). Post offices that accept passport applications have the advantage of sometimes offering other products and services related to this process, for example, passport photos and walk-in service hours.
