El plan de estudios está estructurado en una secuencia coherente y longitudinal, a través de cuatro años de estudio, en dos fases. Dos años de Ciencias Biomédicas y dos años de Ciencias Clínicas. Los graduados de nuestro programa de MD habrán realizado los pasos 1 y 2 del USMLE Board Examinations durante sus estudios de medicina, pero tendrán que presentarse al paso 3 del USMLE para poder ejercer la medicina.

El programa de Asistente Médico (PA) comienza cada enero y las solicitudes serán consideradas y aceptadas a través del Servicio Centralizado de Solicitudes para Asistentes Médicos (CASPA). El plan de estudios se imparte en 7 semestres (también llamados trimestres), con un total de 28 meses, divididos en una fase didáctica, una fase clínica y un semestre de culminación. Una vez completado con éxito el programa de AP, los graduados podrán presentarse a los exámenes nacionales de certificación: Examen Nacional de Certificación de Asistentes Médicos (PANCE).

In addition, during the month of August, Boston University organizes the “Summerfest”. Boston University is located on the banks of the Charles River and on Commonwealth Avenue, near Bacon Street, Common Garden and the historic and financial center of the city, making it an ideal university to study in the United States during the summer. Students taking only one course at the university enter the country as tourists and live in a shared apartment in the heart of the city, just a few minutes from the campus. Those taking two courses must obtain a student visa and begin applying for it two months prior to the start date of the course. Students enrolled in two courses live on campus or in a shared apartment.

It has more than 1240 physicians, including residents and specialists, and 1505 nurses. It is the main educational center affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine.
BMC was created by the merger of Boston City Hospital (BCH), the first municipal hospital in the United States, and Boston University Medical Center (BUMCH) in July 1996, sponsored by the Methodists and later by Boston University. BCH was founded in 1855 and BUMCH in 1864. BMC has had a period of expansion with the Shapiro Ambulatory Care Center, the Moakley Cancer Center, as well as other centers of research and excellence.
